The winemaker, Peter Shields, has been in the industry for 30 plus years; from working at Penfolds and McWilliams through to Lecturing at SA’s Roseworthy College. Peter makes extensive use of cutting edge scientific winemaking methods combined with traditional techniques such as basket presses, fermenters, etc in order to obtain technically perfect wines yet with that added, personal touch.

To keep in touch with the wider winemaking field Peter assists with a vintage every year at Temple Bruer at Langhorne Creek, S.A. Temple Bruer's principal winemaker, David Bruer, reciprocates by helping with the Tasmanian vintage.
